Lowes has a unique Returns and Refund Policy for each of its store outlets. Except for approved returns, all sales are final and non-refundable. If you want to return a product and get a refund, you must do it at the same store or outlet where you bought it. If you are not in possession of the original receipt: 

A customer receipt can be acquired by entering the original credit card information, reviewing account details, MyLowe’s card number, or phone number. Lowe’s may, at its judgment, provide in-store credit for the item’s present selling value for returns lacking a valid receipt.  For returns without the original receipt, Lowe’s asks for official photo identification (state driver’s license, state ID card, or military ID). Lowes employs and monitors verification systems. Where permitted by legal rules, ID information or a phone number may be entered into Lowes’s systems. All refunds must be approved by the system. Lowe’s has the right to deny and restrict the number of returns allowed if a proper receipt is not provided.  You will not usually need a receipt because Lowes can check your purchases using your phone number; thus, make sure to provide your phone information when you check out.  

What about online purchases? 

The 90-day return policy is further applicable to online purchases made on the Lowes website. 

• Place your product (s) in the package or box that it came in.

• Print a return slip for the interior of the box, along with a shipping label for the outside. Additionally, Lowes gives prepaid parcel-shipped slips for some products, which you can use when sending back a product. 

• Take the product (s) to your local courier, any carrier site, or a local Lowes. 

• Lowes will contact you to confirm your receipt and process your refund. 

Lowes Return Policy Exceptions

Although Lowes provides a 90-day return policy, there are some exceptions to this rule: 

30-day Return Policy: This primarily applies to TVs and electronics, water heaters, air conditioners, liquid paint, highway trailers, and outdoor power equipment, which must be returned to the store within 30 days of purchase with evidence of purchase.  48-hour Return Policy: This involves fridges, washers, dryers, ranges, hoods, dishwashers, over-the-range microwaves, stoves, wall ovens, and washing pedestals.  Holiday Items: Products bought during the holiday season such as Christmas must be returned prior to or on the day of the holiday.  

Lowes Non-refundable Items

Some Lowes products do not fall under the category of refundable products. They are as noted below:
